Registration Now Open for International Symposium in Spain
Registration is now open for the 11th International Research Symposium, October 30-31, 2017 in Madrid, Spain, presented by the International Association of Assessing Officers, and sponsored by Esri and Thomson Reuters.

The symposium agenda will offer an exploration of the intersection of public policy and mass appraisal standards, guidance, and implementation challenges. The focus will be on the exchange of knowledge for the continuous improvement of property tax systems.

Prior to the Symposium, on Sunday, October 29th, IAAO will present a half-day forum covering the latest developments in valuation modeling. In this half-day forum, students will participate in an interactive discussion on automated valuation models (AVMs) and geographic information systems (GIS). AVMs along with GIS, which can be used to capture and understand spatial relationships among phenomena, can be used together to discover a new level of insight into deriving valuations and improving performance.

Registration fees for the symposium are $650 for members and $800 for non-members until August 28 and then $750 for members and $900 for nonmembers. Fees for the half-day forum are $100 for members and $125 for nonmembers.
