GIS/Valuation Tech Conference less than month away 
The 2024 GIS/Valuation Technologies Conference at the Le Meridien/Sheraton Charlotte Hotel in Charlotte, North Carolina is less than a month away and will explore understanding the vulnerabilities and vitality of cities and enhanced public service during keynote presentations.
 
Workshops start on April 8, and conference programs open with geospatial analyst Bonny McClain, Global Impact Assessment, Bonny_McClain15_2765779.pngwho will talk about “The Keys to a City” during her keynote on April, 9.
 
Recent advances in geospatial analysis and the availability of digital maps have revealed the importance of urban form and built infrastructure as fundamental to understanding the vulnerabilities and vitality of global and local cities.
 
Derrick_Niederklein_2765782.pngThe closing will cover “Motivated to Serve: Enhancing Public Service with Purpose,” by Derrick Niederklein, AAS, deputy director of MIPS, a CAMA and government services software company in Nebraska.
 
He will talk about how to build individual motivation, self-confidence, and energy to harness that essential element in work that gives purpose.
 
New this year!  Attendees requested more workshops, with the opportunity to dive deeper into important topics. In response, conference organizers added half-day workshops to the conference on Thursday afternoon.

Co-hosted by URISA and the IAAO, the conference will review the importance of data and the analysis of location information for better decision-making within a jurisdiction. The conference features keynote speakers, training, workshops, breakout sessions, sponsorship opportunities, and an exhibition area.
