Early Bird Registration Deadline Approaching; Limited Hotel Rooms Available; Two Preconference Mapping Sessions Offered
The Early Bird Registration deadline is July 20 for the 2018 IAAO Annual Conference, September 23-26 in Minneapolis.
The early bird registration fee for the conference is $645 for members and $845 for nonmembers until July 20th. Fees then increase to $770 and $970. After Sept. 8 the fee is $895 for members and $1,095 for nonmembers. Attendees may register online or download a registration form.
Hotel Rooms Limited on Select Nights at Conference Hotels
IAAO has booked rooms at special conference rates at the Hilton Minneapolis and Millennium Minneapolis, however there are limited rooms at the Hilton for Wednesday, September 26. Additional rooms are available for the other days at the Hilton and for the full conference period at the Millennium. See the IAAO website for more information on the hotels.
Two Preconference Modeling Sessions Now Offered
IAAO is offering introductory and advanced pre-conference workshops on mapping to take place on Sunday, September 23. Registration for each workshop is $125 for members and $220 for nonmembers. Participants must registered for the sessions by August 24 and the sessions require a minimum of 20 students and maximum of 50.
Creating Maps with Assessor Data, 8:00 am to Noon, will teach assessors and appraisers with limited or no technical GIS experience how to take real estate data and plot it on a map. It will highlight how maps used in geographical analysis can help improve valuations and the overall assessment process.
Creating Spatial Valuation Models, 1:00 to 5:00 pm, will teach modelers and those already familiar and comfortable with regression analysis how to incorporate GIS into their models to improve valuations.
