IAAO
is accepting applications until Oct. 6 from members to serve on
committees and task forces in 2023 and those interested in volunteering
should visit the IAAO Volunteer page to apply.
IAAO
recently updated the volunteer application process this year to better
match members' interests with IAAO committees and task forces. IAAO had
seven standing committees (Education, Ethics, Finance, Governance,
Nominating, Professional Development, and Research and Standards) and
approximately 30 task forces in 2022.
Members
can apply to multiple committee opportunities and also may apply for
the 2023 Open Call to improve their chances to be selected to serve.
IAAO usually receives more applications than there are volunteer
opportunities but encourages all interested members to apply.
Current
2022 volunteers interested in continuing to serve in 2023 must
re-apply. You must be logged in to complete your application.
Task
forces and committees usually meet via video conference calls during
the year and select committees also meet in Kansas City as part of
Leadership Days.
Task
forces were established to achieve specific goals and are typically
active for less than a year, while committees remain active from
year to year. A key to IAAO’s success is the commitment and energy
provided by its members, who volunteer their time and talents each year.
We currently have over 300 volunteers and we are always looking for
more members willing to serve!
