Disc golf tournament, Red Rocks tour planned for annual conference in Denver
A disc golf tournament and a self-guided tour of Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre are new options the Colorado Local Host Committee has set up for IAAO Annual Conference attendees.
The disc golf tournament is set for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. MDT on Sunday, Aug. 25. Registration is $20 per person (discounts available) and includes two golf discs with a custom design commemorating the annual conference, and a barbecue lunch at the course. Anyone can register. If you have signed up for the WIN Luncheon, you will receive a $5 discount on your registration. Also, early-bird registration by July 14 gets you a $5 discount.
Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre
Not a disc golfer, but still looking to get outside to see and experience the beauty of Colorado? Take a short trip to the historic Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre with your friends and colleagues on Sunday, Aug. 25.
Chartered buses will pick up at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, across from the Colorado Convention Center, at 10 a.m. and transport to and from Red Rocks, 15 miles west of downtown Denver, for a cost of $30 per person. Participants will load up at 2 p.m. to return to the hotel by 2:30 pm. Register here for the Red Rocks tour.
Register for Wednesday Workshops
New this year are Wednesday Workshops from 2:00 to 4:30 pm on Wednesday, Aug. 28. The workshops are free, but attendees need to select one during registration. There are six workshops and two are full but others, including the recently added workshop – “Unlocking the Third Dimension: Exploring 3D Cadastre” – still have space.
If you have have registered but didn’t select a workshop you can login back into your registration by selecting “Already Registered” at top right of the main conference page and then go to the workshop page to select one of the workshops.
