Committees & Task Forces
The Board of Directors established committees and task forces to make recommendations to support the mission and commitments of IAAO.
Members are appointed to committees, task forces, and other such groups by the IAAO President in cooperation with the IAAO President-Elect. They also appoint members to represent the Association’s interests at The Appraisal Foundation (TAF), The Appraisal Foundation Advisory Council (TAFAC), the Association of Appraiser Regulatory Officials (AARO), the Coalition of Geospatial Organizations (COGO), International Property Measurement Standards Coalition (IPMSC) and the National Association of Counties (NACo).

Conference Content Committee

Education Committee
Subject Matter experts to support the Education priority of the Board. Work with Headquarters on incorporating the BOK into the IAAO Education product. Review and consider Instructor continuing education requirements. Further refine the Instructor Trainee program. -
Ethics Committee
Review all Ethics questions presented to the IAAO. Review and possibly rewrite Workshop 171. -
Executive Committee
The Executive Committee consists of the President, President-Elect, Vice President, Immediate Past-President and Secretary-Treasurer and acts on behalf of the Association between meetings of the Executive Board. -
Finance Committee
Oversee the preparation of the budget Recommend changes or additions/deletions to the Board of Directors Review IAA financial report monthly -

Membership Recognition Committee
Overhaul the awards program and incorporate all awards under one umbrella. Develop the IAAO Fellows Program. -
Nominating Committee
Gathers candidates for election to the Executive Board. Upon review by staff that submissions are complete, the Committee will review and recommend a slate to the Executive Board. -
Professional Development Committee
Review the value of each designation. Recommend ways to promote the designation as an industry standard. Define additional international equivalencies for designations. Research and Standards Committee
Oversee the consistency and quality of the standards and research. Recommend new and innovative research opportunities. -
USPAP and Appraiser Regulatory Committee
Vett and encourage members to participate on the Appraisal Foundation Board of Trustees (BOT), the Appraisal Standards Board (ASB), and the Appraisal Qualifications Board (AQB).
