IPTI, IAAO to offer virtual symposium in June
Registration is open for the virtual Mass Appraisal Valuation Symposium, presented by IAAO and the International Property Tax Institute (IPTI) on June 25-26.
The symposium, covering “Future Opportunities for Mass Appraisal,” will be offered virtually and the program will have eight topic areas and individual sessions under each area. The topic areas are:
- Mass appraisal I & II
- Use of technology in valuation
- Technology and innovation
- Data quality and other challenges
- Property tax administration
- Leadership issues
- Other matters of interest
Registration fees are $225 USD for IAAO and IPTI members outside of Canada, and for groups of five or more from the same nonmember organizations. Rates for IAAO and IPTI members in Canada are $325 CAD. Nonmember rates are $290 USD for those outside of Canada and $415 CAD for Canadian nonmember registrants.
The symposium sessions have been approved for 9 continuing education hours by IAAO, 10 by the Alberta Assessors’ Association, and 9.5 by the Institute of Municipal Assessors.
