Conference to be virtual in 2020
Dear IAAO Member,
On June 1st, the IAAO was notified that the Colorado Convention Center was not going to be available for us to hold our 2020 Conference in Denver. That information coupled with a thorough review of member comments and concerns about the realities of the world we are living in today, has led us to transform the IAAO’s 86th Annual International Conference on Assessment Administration into an EXCITING new IAAO Virtual Annual Conference.
This exceptional virtual experience will keep with our tradition of providing high-quality education sessions, a first-class exhibit hall that will offer one-on-one opportunities to meet with our business partners, and social events to allow attendees to mingle, catch up with old friends and network.
It also promises a dynamic and inspiring keynote address, and a fun plenary session I know you will enjoy - all on a digital platform.
We plan to keep you safe and out of harm’s way in the comfort of your own home or office! And with no cost for travel or lodging we hope to expose even more industry professionals to IAAO.
A slightly shorter version, our new conference format will take place from August 30 to September 1. The registration fees for this year’s virtual conference will be reduced, to an early bird registration fee for members at $345 and $545 for nonmembers.
All prior registrations will be automatically transferred to the virtual conference, and balances may be used by other attendees from your office, applied to other IAAO hosted programs or products, or be refunded in full.
Of course, it is our hope that you will stay with us and attend our exciting new format!!
The Hyatt Regency Denver has confirmed all hotel registrations can be canceled without any penalty and deposits will be refunded.
IAAO is delighted to collaborate with speakers on creating dynamic virtual presentations and we will have an updated schedule available soon. A delightful result of a virtual conference, is attendees will have access to ALL education sessions. Your registration fee will include an "on demand" feature, whereby you can access any session you choose from the conference library.
For the first time ever, you will have the opportunity to receive as many hours of continuing education credit as you choose from an IAAO conference. What an amazing value that is!
Look for more details on the IAAO website, and be sure to follow us on social media for current updates.
2020 has been a year of many changes and difficult challenges, but we are confident the virtual conference will provide a positive and rewarding experience for all of our attendees!
Will you please join us for this inaugural event?
We look forward to ‘seeing you’ online in August!
